Domestically Inclined

A poem

See a mess

Clean it up

Sweep the crumbs into a cup

Run the broom across the floor

Take the trash right out the door

Wash a dish

Make a wish

Don't forget to feed the fish

Brush your teeth

Hang a wreath

Hang mistletoe to kiss beneath

Sew a patch

Fix a latch

Put on your apron and stir a batch

Oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip

Chicken wings with onion dip

Put on pajamas in shades of red

Now it's time to jump in bed

Just a thought

Because of the sing song nature of this, I think it would work well as a jump rope rhyme or a kid's book.

This is just delightful -- I feel it to my bones and it feels good. Came across you quite by chance but will now be paying close attention to your wonderful, evocative poetry.

This started out as a 3 line poem and it was so much fun I just kept going. Jimmy that is delightful.

Nice to meet you Robie 2. What a great comment for me to wake up to.
