I thought I'd write some more adult Harry Potter poetry. Heh.

What is your favorite fiction series (books or movies).  Do you ever write about them in prose or poetry? Do you wonder what it is that draws you to certain storylines? Have you tried writing your own book? My friend who is on http://www.ravelry.com says she's the den mother for a whole bunch of people that knit and crochet Harry Potter themed items. That seems like a lot of fun to me. And it's not just kids and teens. I've met many adults that were bitten by the Hogwart's bug. A lady bought one of my raffia hats for her Professor Sprout costume and another librarian I met says she's fond of all things Slytherin and they dress up for a themed invent in the library every year. I'm all for any book series that gets kids into reading.

In My Fantasy

I'm a Slytherin girl through and through.

Therefore I present to you my Haiku:

On one side of me; on the

Other, Severus Snape

Slytherin Prisoner of Azkaban scarf I am knitting.

I'm much further along now, but don't have a camera to show you...Rats.

When dances in the rural halls was in full swing in Ireland the girls were rowed up on one side and then the boys made a rugby scrum to ask them to dance - actually you held out your hand and if the girl took it you fought your way out through the scrum to the dancefloor. Invariably you were refused from time to time and the standard retort was;-

did you bring your knitting with you... :-)

Drax that's great. I can see it now. It sure beats a high school dance I went to where each girl took off a shoe and put it in the middle of the floor. Then the boys would pick a shoe and have to dance with whatever girl it belonged too. I remember the guy that got mine. He looked absolutely mortified. I'm surprised I ever went to any dances after that. Maybe taking my knitting would be a good thing.

I have a Haiku Poem and I am on my phone so I can't really join any poem HP club, but here is my Haiku Poem; The owls are flying, sending letters to children, Hogwarts awaits them.
