Update 2011

The world is in even more turmoil than when I wrote this. Things are a mess in Libya and Afghanistan and Iran and Irag and any other parts of the world.

This ought to be interesting.

Posts photo and ducks.

Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President

There's a fine line between help

And occupation

“We don’t do body counts”

General Tommy Franks, US Central Command

tell that to the dead children

to their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandmas, grandpas,

to allah brahman budda god jehovah the sky father the goddess

to anyone who will listen

since dead gods don't care, do they?

oh, after you two I don't think I have much to offer, but since you 'ducked' and brought underbirdz into this photo, I am forced against my will to attach this to the plight of the Frozen Sparrow:

your kind of war,

isn't it Mr. Bush?

nice thing about Frozen Sparrowz -

too frozen for flight

burdened by poverty

disenfranchised by society

bereft of hope

numbed by not mattering

and held in place

by the tyranny

of your brand-name bootheelz

they make an easy target

for your bombz,

don't they Mr. Bush?

I've noticed that Drax took his poem and gave it its own hub. I think that's a great idea. I hope you all post your poems onto their own hub.

So, most of you would rather be attacked again on our own land! Soldiers who are over there, or have been and returned, believe in what they are doing. So quit running them down. They are fighting for you, for your freedom and safety. Making rude comments about our President cuts down our faithful soldiers too.

Blue skies remind me,

As the wind gently moans,

Of pain, terror, hate and death,

Of a cause not their own.

Iðunn 4 years ago

WHO AUTHORIZED THIS SHIT?

Call the FBI and Homeland Security, too!

Dig up Hoover and Joe McCarthy PDQ!

Revive HUAC and loyalty oaths for me and you!

Round up these surrender monkeys and let 'em sue!

Wake up you fools, open your eyes!

Our "Big Brother" told us lies.

Every day TV alerts were high!

Why dont Politicians realize,

The veil is lifted off our eyes.

We know now what potus did.

He tried to be a good kid.

A fathers dream is to see

His Son carrying on his legacy

Secrets are kept, while we get fired

In this economy no one gets hired

No pension, no salary, we cant retire

The wall keeps getting higher

But too late, I'm too tired,

This broken soul has finally retired.
